A cantilever gate system is characterised by the gate having a track fixed to its underside. This track slides over wheels carriages which are fixed in-ground. Cantilever systems are more commonly used in commercial applications where useage might include trucks and other heavy vehicles. The Cantilever Gate Products available by Lynx generally come in 3 sizes: light, medium and heavy; this is to cater for gates of differing weights and useage.

Gate Carriage Wheels
Lynx Gate Carriage Wheels are fixed in ground and allow for the track to move smoothly over their top. The wheels come in a light, medium and heavy duty 8 wheel option; and also a medium duty 5 wheel option which has lift.

Gate Wheel Carriage Guides
Lynx Wheel Carriage Guides also are available in the light, medium and heavy duty sizes to allow for differing gate weights and useage. The Wheel Carriage Guide is fixed in-ground on one end of the gate; it serves to stop the gate over-running the track and helps to disallow sideways motion

Cantilever Gate Tracks
Lynx Cantilever Gate Tracks are 3m or 6m in length, pre galvanized and offered to you in three size options: light, medium and heavy. The size of the track you choose will depend on the weight of the gate you require. The track is fixed securely to the underside of your gate and will slide smoothly along the top of the carriage wheel.

Cantilever Gate End Stops
Lynx Cantilever Gate End Stops are available in lightm medium and heavy duty sizes. The end stop is fixed to the opposite end of the in-ground channel to the wheel carriage guide. The end stop disallows the gate over-running the wheels. |
